Sometimes, gluten free desserts are not that great, and if they are good, it takes a lot of time and expensive ingredients. I am so excited to say that I have found a delicious and affordable gluten free dessert for Thanskgiving. Pumpkin dessert is a great substitute for pumpkin pie and your guests won’t be able to tell the difference between gluten free and normal!
- 1 large can of pureed pumpin
- 1 12 oz. evaporated milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1 tsp. Nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Mix together and pour into a 9×13 pan. The mixture will be very runny.
- 1 gluten free yellow cake mix (any brand!)
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Mix together and sprinkle on top of the pumpkin mixture. It should look like a crumble.
Bake at 350 for at least an hour. Make sure that the middle is not jiggly. It needs to be set. It can be served either warm or cool. Serve with whipped cream.
